AIS rolls out cheapest aircard in market

In its announcement to become the country’s first provider of 3G service, Advance Info Service (AIS) rolls out an AIS aircard at 1,090 baht, which it claimed the cheapest price in the market, on its Edge/GPRS technology.

AIS emphasized its strategies would all head towards the mobile internet market, which jump grows 400 percent from January through December of 2009.

The company said it has captured 65 percent market share for the segment.

“This reflects an increase in demand for wireless internet of the country,” the company said in its statement.

It said the coming 3G service would even boost the internet growth faster.
