Amway’s Bt100 million plan to sustain Nutrilite sales at 15% growth

Amway (Thailand) Co., Ltd.’s flagship nutrient-group products, Nutrilite, sales for January through September rose 15 percent from a year ago better than the industry’s average of 10-12 percent in Thailand’s combined 20.8 billion baht nutrition market, pushed by the country’s growing consumer healthcare market, according to data released by general manager for products communications Kijthawat Riththeevaree.

To promote sustainable growth, Amway is planning to spend 100 million baht on marketing campaigns and on the exhibition for Nutrilite-group products at Siam Paragon from October 16 through 18 to educate the people about the important of staying good health. The activity also sets to celebrate Nutrilite’s 75 years anniversary as the world’s leading nutrient product with global sales of 108 billion baht.

“Together with the exhibition at Siam Paragon, Amway has organized the ‘Nutrilite Super Tour’ road show led by Dr. Sam Rehnborg director of Nutrilite Institution, to promote healthcare activities across Asia and in Thailand. The workshop will be held on October 20, 2009 at the IMPACT in Muangthong Thani with expected visitors of more than 15 thousand,” Mr. Kijthawat commented.

Mr. Kijthawat added that the company expects more than 4.8 million baht for the product-group sales in 2009, up 15 percent from a year ago at 4.2 billion baht. The Nutrilite-group products have total market share of 14 percent and accounted for the company’s 36 percent revenues.

Amway hopes to generate 13.0 billion baht from sales of its products for 2009, up 15 percent from a year ago.
