Thailand online ad spending second largest in Southeast Asia
The total value of online advertisement spending in Thailand surpassed Malaysia to Southeast Asia second largest market after Singapore in 2005, an online advertisement watchdog Admax reported.
The ad agency said the number of internet users in Thailand last year was 13.4 million according to the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center or NECTEC, which large enough to persuade giant international websites to launch its local language.
It said the total ad spending in Thailand last year was 700 million baht and expected to double this year, because online ad costs much lower than traditional ad and delivers more directly to the target group of audience.
