The Information and Communication Technology Department said it is planning to grant e-Payment licenses to more operators as data shows that entrepreneurs are better understanding business nature of the product.

ICT minister Lieutenant Ranongrak Suwanchawee said the department had recently approved 30 license to 19 financial institutions and 11 non-financial institutions operators in additional to 47 existing licenses.

A news source reported that non-financial institutions which are awarded with the e-Payment license include internet companies, credit card companies, payment solution companies and mailing services companies.
