Sansiri expects Bt1.4 bn in annual profit

Sansiri Plc (SIRI) expects to report a net profit of 1.4 billion baht for 2009, up 50 percent from a year ago, calculating from its perceiving yearly revenue of 17.0 billion baht, according to managing director Chettha Taweesin.

Mr. Chettha said the home builder currently has a presale backlog of 19.0 billion baht with some 88 percent of which is expected to report as this fiscal year revenue.

According to the data, the company may be able to announce a dividend of 0.44 baht a share by the yearend.

Mr. Chattha added that the company sales beat analysts’ expectations surprisingly at 400 million baht weekly despite the economic doldrums.

“We may revise up a sale target for the year in the next board meeting due to positive impacts from stabilized politic and declining loan interest rate,” Mr. Chettha said.

Shares of Sansiri are currently traded at 3.00 baht.
